About

Pretty much since I was a young teenager I absolutely loved fitness and sports. However, I never excelled in any particular sport. All my friends had been a part of a netball team, cricket team or had been dancing since they were 4. I just loved anything. When I was younger we would go on holidays and my dad would take me to the hotel gyms and pretty much as soon as I was old enough to go alone, I did.

For years I watched people make workout videos online, make ebooks and build their own empires of fitness. I’ve now decided its my time.

Currently, I am studying a Bachelor of Psychology at university and at the same time completing my Cert III and IV in fitness. The interesting thing is, the more that I research, the more I find that there is an undeniable association between physical and mental health. Even in mental health institutions they are developing physical exercise programs in order to improve behaviour, emotion and mood in people with severe mental health disorders. I’ve found in our. day in age people are so willingly able to talk about exercise and physical health but fail to mention happiness, mental-health or overall well-being.

I think that there is a gap in the fitness industry in providing customers with real, raw and honest education about what the latest research is developing. I also want to be able to help people make informed decisions about their own health. There is so much sustainability in a healthy lifestyle when you are the one directing it and making your own decisions about your health. Not only this but I think that personal trainers and fitness instructors focus so much on the physiological side of fitness and how strong a person is. However, I believe it is just as important to improve our mental strength and resilience as a human being.

SO… I have devised a mission for myself to de-bunk health and fitness myths, research into the association between physical and mental health as well as hoping to change people’s lives along the way.

I hope you enjoy your journey.
